Beypore, a regional port of considerable ecological and economic significance, has difficulties with trash disposal, treatment, and segregation, which results in operational inefficiencies and environmental deterioration. In comparison to international best practices like Singapore's zero-waste port policy and the Port of Rotterdam's circular economy model, the study highlights significant shortcomings in the port's current waste management procedures, such as poor infrastructure, lax regulatory enforcement, and little stakeholder collaboration.enSustainable waste management systems in ports: an exploratory study at Beypore PortDissertation
