    This study examines the growth and development of infrastructure along National Waterway 1 (NW-1)—India’s longest inland waterway spanning 1,620 kilometers from Prayagraj to Haldia. Recognizing the strategic importance of NW-1 for promoting low-cost, energy efficient, and sustainable transport, the report analyzes infrastructure investments, policy initiatives, and operational challenges associated with its development.
