    Logistics Performance Indicators
(Indian Maritime University, 2023-05-08) Chowdhury, Avishek Roy; Pattanaik, K M
This dissertation report studies logistics performance indicators in India, China, and South Asian nations. Logistics performance indicators are measurements that evaluate how well goods are transported from one place to another. The study looks at factors like transportation time, costs, and reliability. The report examines the logistics performance indicators of these countries to determine how efficient their logistics systems are. By understanding these indicators, policymakers can identify areas where they can improve transportation infrastructure and services, and businesses can make informed decisions on where to locate their operations. The study found that India, China, and South Asian nations have lower logistics performance scores compared to other regions. This is due to factors like inadequate infrastructure, inefficient border procedures, and low technology adoption. However, the study also identified areas for improvement and recommended policy changes to increase efficiency and competitiveness. Overall, this dissertation report sheds light on the importance of logistics performance indicators in the global economy and provides valuable insights for policymakers, businesses, and researchers interested in transportation and logistics.
