dc.description.abstract | This paper attempts to trace the evolution of ports and how private sector has always been a part of global port services. The role of private sector has at all times been significant in Port development and delivery. While looking at emergence of PPP in Global ports and two successful case studies, the conflict that can arise in private participation of public (government owned) entities are also touched upon. These developments and current trends focussing on growth of ‘smart ports’ are outlined. | |
