| dc.description.abstract | In today’s environmentally focused global supply chain environment, the adoption of green packaging has become a critical step, particularly within the logistics industry. As logistics operations expand and packaging volume is rising , traditional packaging materials like plastics contribute significantly to environmental degradation. This study explores the adoption of green packaging in the logistics industry, highlighting the emerging need to shift from traditional packaging materials to sustainable packaging materials. While industries such as food and retail have seen more research on the sustainable practices, logistics industries have been less studied. To address this, this research identified and ranked key factors influencing green packaging adoption using expert opinion, literature review and the ranked them using the best-worst method. The five main factors are economic, technological/infrastructure, regulatory, environmental and social/market. | |
