dc.description.abstractManaging change in a quality-oriented organisation involves a decision to change the mindset of people towards excellence. For modern medium enterprises (MEs), it is needed to ensure long-term survival. In this study authors emphasize that change management in quality oriented MEs is a prerequisite in the process of coming over dissatisfaction, uncertainty, anxiety and organisational stress. This study resulted into highlighting the challenges posed by these enterprises in their quality orientation. In the process of finding the ways of dealing with these challenges, the study highlighted certain tactics, which can be helpful in nullifying the restraining forces and augmenting the driving forces for effective change management in these enterprises. Although, the study is resulted into suggesting that every activity in change management can be successful only if full participation of employees are assured. While highlighting the change models for MEs, the study suggested various ways to sustain change management practices, which these enterprises may adopt according to their suitability.
